KYGO 98.5

I used to be a loyal KYGO listner. Over the last 6 months my listening declined to the point where I no longer listen to KYGO. It is because I belive they are speeding up the songs. I am almost positive that they began speeding them somewhere over the last few months. Anyone elsh notice? Also somewhere along the way Jo Jo has vanished from the morning show.

Speeding up the songs 5% or more used to be common practice "back in the day"...when we used to play albums & 45s from turntables.
Haven't noticed on KYGO but I don't listen often.

Every pop, HAC, country station does it, always have, always will. They also compress the living hell out of them just for good measure. Gotta be loud if you want to be heard!

Not sure if KYGO speeds them up or not...I listen fairly regularly and do not notice it. I will say that when I was programming just south of Denver I DID speed mine up about 3 percent. Some of the older songs just don't sound right sped up.

As for Jo Jo, I think his "deal" was up and not renewed...I have heard that Kelly is hard to work with but I could not tell you...never have met her. Jo Jo was always nice to me...I always like to think that it was the "spankin" we gave him that made him leave and head north! ha ha ha.

Maybe you are not listening to KYGO cause of the music selection? The fall was always the WORST for new music and you end up hearing a lot of the same old crap over and over and over. I always looked forward to spring when the NEW music came out...not cut 5 from an already marginal cd. ;)
