I agree, if they joked about the missing boy scout, that was in poor taste.but that[EDIT]Heather mills really put it to Paul Mccartney and deserves all she gets.understand this week she'll dance to zztop, but the lyric will be She's got a leg""and she know how to use it...or maybe joe tex, skinny leg and all.

[EDIT-vulgar]

Naw...Heather's time is limited on the show... She doesn't stand a leg :D

Did you know they can't hang a man with a wooden leg in texas? Got to hang him by the Rope ;D

What is Heather's middle name? Eileen...(I lean) :D

However i DO believe if Heather keeps practicing she could get a LEG up on the competition :D

Just a note here. I just saw this set of posts this morning.

I'm not a KYKX fan so don't bite me. Yet, my morning prep I use for my show had lead-ins making fun of Heather's leg and wondering if it would fly off into the audience.

I pre-read it....and skipped that part. I used the story about her but didn't feel the need to make fun of anyone. This all goes back to who you have on your station -- it's either pros or just jocks who rip and read with no feeling for their listeners or community.

Thanks!

It pays to be in touch with your listeners. They should've known that line of joking just wouldn't fly.

Thanks, musicradio, for having the scruples to know when to speak and when to skip over. :)

That's the difference in being a pro (like Musicradio) and knowing your market and our good friends at KYKX, who are overgrown teenagers doing radio in the wrong market.

You get what you pay for.

In this case it was scrapping the bottom of the barrel and promoting a former custodian to be PD,with free sandwiches at Blimpies.
