KYLD cleaning house again?

Yes, I agree Joe Breezy is real good and may be ready for the bigger market.
Him and The T-Man have way too much talent for just the Bay. I hope MM doesn't take T-Man with him to L.A. though cause we need him here in the Bay Area!

Here is my KYLD(WiLD 94.9) dream line-up

5:30-10am "The Morning Gang" with Jim Phillips, Ralph Hasty, Hanky and Ness Nitty.

10am-2pm Sandra Pena

2-6pm Mark Lennartz or Jack Friday

6-10pm Joe Breezy

10pm-2am "Love Jams" with Christie James

2am-5:30pm Jay Stone (former KLOK overnighter)

My thoughts...

Wow Hank, no Dog House?

Did you hear, they got TERMINATED over two years ago. I would put them on in the morning if
they were still there.

I heard Hank is mad at the T-Man show because he asked but they declined to put him on. Hanky, maybe you should thank the T-Man, for having a touch of class and treating you with a little more dignity than the Dog House did. Trust me I remember....DH weren't doing you any favors. Just my thoughts.

T-Man SUCKS,he needs to go...Screw San Jose Numbers, all that counts is that he SUCKS By San Francisco Standards, Hammerin Hank Can do a BETTER job than him...

The Dog House gave Hank his shot in radio when nobody else did. Sure, they made fun of him, but they took care of him like a little brother. They took him to places, clubs, concerts, events he would've never gotten the chance to go to if it wasn't for JV.

T-Man is to radio what Lebron James is to basketball. They own their industry!

The T Man's obnoxious Leykis voice makes me sick.

I can tell you this little factoid from a girl whos heart is with both her old market (yay) and new market (nyc). The suits here still want T-Man for the FAN morning show that Imus got booted from (y'all know the story). We currently have Boomer and Carton but they're not the solution. T-Man got offered the spot in April and declined. So, if you guys don't want him any more we'll take him.

T-Man apparently has been offered every job opening in the last few years.

....and he deserves it.
There are very few talented radio personalities in the industry at present time but he is one of them.

You are kidding just to get the T-Man fans riled up correct? First, he is on CC stations, not CBS. So, he would of had to break his contract.

Even then, he is on urban leaning CHR stations with a target demo of people 18-34. WFAN target demo is 25-54 year old white men. And it is a sports station. Granted Imus did not fit the format, but that is because he is/was a NYC icon.

If FAN hired T-Man, Mad Dog would not have to show up for a week because Francesca would rip T-Man and the hire for the entire show.

So you are saying FAN would start a contest to pay your electric bill that you are behind, or T-Man is a huge sports fan but just keeps it quiet?

You couldn't be more wrong Studly.
Mike Francesca and his former producer Bob Gelb went to bat for T-Man persuading management to go after him. I have it from reliable sources that Francesca groomed T-Man when he began his career under his wing at WFAN many years back. Now that T-Man is in his 30's he's a better fit for this job than the stations out west. After to listening to many T-Man show cd's the coorperate bigwigs put him at the top of their list of choices to replace Imus.
In the end it seems you're correct that T-Man was unwilling to break his contract and thus the Boomer and Carton ERROR has begun.

Once again, no.

Unless he is the 1 talent in 500 that has an out to go to NYC or LA in his contract, he cannot "break" his contract. He would not be allowed to broadcast at another company if he broke his contract.

And, I know of no syndicated talent that has that type of "out".

You have him being offered that job immediately after Imus was fired as well. No national search, just Mike going to the bigwigs listening to demo tapes.

And, once again, totally different demos and shows. No way he gets offered the gig without a tryout.

In the last book in the Bay Area, he was #28 in men 25-54, WFAN's demo. Sell that to the corporate suits.

Whatever weirdo, I'm not interested in getting in a fight with you. I thought I was being nice by giving you the scoop. Believe it if you choose. I'm sure you'd love me to respond to what you wrote but I don't even understand half of it. The other half is just ignorance..management could care less what his ratings are, in 25-54 men, on a station that attracts and targets 19 year old girls. But unlike your lame butt they're able to think out of the box.
Now leave me alone I'm headed to yoga!

It is great that you are calling me names when all I have put out are facts and numbers. Not my opinion, just industry information and legal to post arbitron facts.

Management does not care about numbers? That would be the first time I ever heard that.

The last time, and probably last time, CBS decided to go out of the proven demo in a major market was with David Lee Roth. After that they have done nothing but go stricktly by the book, not think outside the box, especially in New York, especially with CBS. Jack gone, back to oldies. Free gone, back to rock.

Carolla had bigger numbers that T-Man in FAN's demo last book, and that station that did not even show up on the book the previous period.
