So I read last week that it was official that Straw got the nod for the morning show which is cool...at least better than someone coming in that wasn't from the bay area and didn't know the dynamics. I listened to the show and it was cool but are the phasing St. John out of the v/o? I heard some other v/o guy in between... I also heard Kelly Clarkson...are they leaning more CHR? This is some crazy ish goin on...but at the same time Wild needs somethin to rekindle the flame that was once there. Anyone that has any info let me know...thanks

If they play the 1st single Since U Been Gone, that`s been also added to the CHR-rhythmic chart. The 2nd single, Behind These Hazel Eyes has been only added to CHR & hot AC. Since U Been Gone has been added to stations that are CHR, AC, hot AC & CHR-rhythmic. Since U Been Gone is moving close to the recurrents on the CHR-pop chart, BTW. But if you want a CHR-pop station in Frisco, Alice is moving closer to the format. Wild 94-9 must stay CHR-rhythmic, BTW!

PS: "Breakaway" was a soundtrack single off "Princess Diaries 2," which came out last summer, not the 1st single off her album "Breakaway," which came out last fall.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by PassDutch on 07/11/05 10:46 PM.</FONT></P>
 
man...i get the kelly clarkson thing..a big fan huh? actually i do mornings out of market and follow the station since I well...used to work in the building...I was hoping they wouldn't...don't we remember what happened to z95.7?

We remember that it was owned by Bonneville, a very conservative company. Probably way too conservative for a market like San Francisco.
We also remember what happened once 95.7 flipped formats...it TANKED in the ratings, and was beaten out by out-of-market signals, even ones from Sacramento (or was it Monterrey?).

It would be great to see Wild 94.9 go towards Mainstream CHR, especially, since its sister station, 106 KMEL, already does a great job of catering to the Hip Hop crowd.

Preach on brother!!! I have said it B4, ethier 981 KISS FM goes CHR from it's old skool R&B format or WILD goes full stream CHR, they already have a cool logo for it. WILD and it's hurban spanish crap is too much, we already have 4 spanish stations, this ain't mexico, you know!!! I'll get off of my soap box:))

wild is fine where it is, they still get good ratings in san jose and yeah it is, california was once mexico and like what david keeps on saying spanish is a language not a format, there is different types of formats and all of these stations cover them, thats like if you think there is too many english stations<P ID="signature">______________

Leave Wild a CHR-rhythmic, and morph Alice to a CHR-pop, since Alice has phased in some CHR-pop into its hot AC playlist.

How could they (CC) make such a huge mistake by letting straw be the morning show lead. The kid needs to check in the baggage and stop kissing A$$! HE SUX! Bring back the Doghouse!
