KYLD Vs. KMVQ

I listen online to a lot of out-of-town CHR, and San Francisco is out-of-town for me.

Does anyone have a pulse on the difference between Wild 94.9 and 99.7 NOW? But are very similar in their delivery and overall tenor. My impression is that while both lean to the Rhythmic side of CHR, 99.7 is slightly more mainstream, and Wild is just a little more Rhythmic. For example, I hear Adele on 99.7 NOW but not on Wild.

Is my impression correct? Thanks.
 
That's about the size of it. Also 92.7 KREV is a little more "mainstream" than either (not that it has any SF localism about it besides the legal ID saying "Alameda").
 
KYLD is a little more uhh ... ghettoo....Talent at KYLD has become mediocre, perhaps due to CC budgeting? Most (if not all) of the former KYLD staff is now at KMVQ.

Agree KYLD is a little more ghetto, but I'd say the talent is pretty good. Don't listen a lot to JV because I don't like the music, but the few times I've listened he's remained pretty entertaining. I do get to see ratings fairly often and looks like all of the KYLD talent beats the talent they compete with on KMVQ, so if the KYLD talent would be considered mediocre I guess the KMVQ talent must be weak.

You are right, JV is entertaining; better than Fernando & Greg, whom I cannot stand. KMVQ talent is weak with the exception of St. John, but thats another story. I neeed two red bulls in order to listen to him. Most are bay area originals, isnt that what pepole want to hear, teh same ole voice over and over again?
