KYND off air

KYND is not on the air 4/18/16. Power company shows an outage as it has all day. Highways and roads in immediate area of tower site are not passable. So many flooded roads prevent travel to general area of tower site. There is some worry water may have gotten in to the transmitter shack but that is unconfirmed at this point.

Tower site under water but transmitter shack dry at this point. Several high water spots on way to site. Lots of snakes, fire ants and such in the water.

I'm glad the shack is dry, at least. Hopefully you can get it back up soon!

One question, if there's lots of water how did you get there to check it? Or do you have remote security cameras? I guess the transmitter shack's on a hill while the tower's not.

I couldn't make it there but the engineer with his truck got there after a few scary spots along the way. The shack is a few feet higher thanks to building up that area but it is all a lake at the moment. At least once we can get back in the water should give us a great signal. The engineer thinks Wednesday. Security cameras showed the water, we just wanted to see if the water mark got up to the building.
