KYOT -Spit and Rinse!

So my 84 year old grandmother is in the dental chair in Scottsdale, this fine Doctor has on the relaxing sounds of KYOT. When all of a sudden Van Halen's 'Running with the Devil' screeches over the office airwaves! This fine upstanding Dentist who shall remain nameless is so startled that he slips with the dental drill while performing root canal on my 84 year old grandma! She screamed, PASSED OUT! The entire office was in kaos! She is now at Scottsdale North Hospital! Thank you KYOT for putting my Grandmother in the hospital. :p

Now are you absolutely SURE someone in the office wasn't playing a prank and changing the station?

....just wait 'til the dentist submits his laundry bill to KWhyOhTee for reimbursement. There'll probably be an additional charge for the extra Clorox!

See, now this is exactly why everyone should be like Target and not play any music in their stores or businesses to avoid upsetting or offending anyone. I know KFYI will disagree with me on this, especially when it comes to Christmas time and Christmas music. I used to be the "oh it's your store / your country / your religion ...etc. play whatever you want.." type of person, but now after viewing this thread, I've had a change of heart.

Yes, I saw that thread AFTER I posted my ill-timed question. Sorry, next time I will read the board more thoroughly before making a comment such as that. Moderator, feel free to delete my previous post on this thread.

Deleting the previous post is fine, but there still remains one small flaw within this entire situation; The fact that that previous post has not only been specifically responded to, but has also been quoted! 3 times!!

Of course, during root canal therapy a nerve block is performed on an entire quadrant or even half of the mouth, therefore, there wouldn't be any pain even if the dentist slipped. I'm just saying :).

Really though, It surprises me that KYOT runs the station in that slip shot fashion when it would just make more sense to have the library on a machine here and run it that way rather than a satellite system... Hell, just put in a CD and put it on repeat, it's not like anyone would notice, it is smooth jazz after all.

On May 7th, KYOT lost their link from the studio to the transmitter on South Mountain. If you were listening to their stream on WWW.KYOT.COM you would have heard the regular program with Dave Koz. At the transmitter site, they have access to a satellite radio feed and put that over the air on 95.5 until the line was repaired.
