KYSR Sounding More Like KROQ?

Also, killing off a lot of local talent, to be replaced by generic voicetracked network talent, wasn't going to work. I've listened to a few Entercom Alt stations since the rollout of syndicated voicetracks, and I sense that there is no connection with the audience. I wonder if the launch of ALT 98.7 in Detroit, and the talk of local talent, was a hint at what's to come for the other stations.

The only one of the nationwide voicetracked DJs that sounds decent is Kevan Kenney, at night.

However, I usually can't even get through a block of music on KROQ given the current programming. Its awful and uninteresting.

Been a long time since I’ve been here, bring me up to date. What is the “2 minute promise” about? I will guess it means no more than 2 minutes of commercials between the music?

Correct: "We'll never play more than 2 minutes of commercials at a time. That's our promise. The 2 Minute Promise®."

Notice the circle-R? That is a registered trademark.
