Also, killing off a lot of local talent, to be replaced by generic voicetracked network talent, wasn't going to work. I've listened to a few Entercom Alt stations since the rollout of syndicated voicetracks, and I sense that there is no connection with the audience. I wonder if the launch of ALT 98.7 in Detroit, and the talk of local talent, was a hint at what's to come for the other stations.
The only one of the nationwide voicetracked DJs that sounds decent is Kevan Kenney, at night.
However, I usually can't even get through a block of music on KROQ given the current programming. Its awful and uninteresting.
