KYW 1060

I'm glad that KYW-AM  is finally carrying the CBS evening news. I just heard it for the first time tonight.  I hope that 1060 will finally start airing 60 Minutes and the CBS news on the hour and the :31 past updates soon. Their news format needs to be revamped. If you seen the recent drop in the ratings for 1060, you know why I suggest this.  It doesn't make sense that a major radio station like KYW doesn't air 60 minutes and the hourly newscasts from CBS news. everyone else airs 60 minutes expect KYW.

Not 1010 WINS. But I'd agree that corporate needs to make up it's mind whether to have KYW go with the CBS all news format or stay with the Group W all news format. What they've got now is a hodgepodge of the two.

Now what they really need to do is get rid of IBOC. Their audio quality is horrible on an analog receiver.

Of course we know why WINS doesn't air that stuff. It's because WCBS does.

So what? They have NO competition. They can do pretty much anything they want. Hopefully, they are taking the best of both formats. Personally, I dont want the network news at the top. I want the big story -- local or otherwise. And that's what KYW does now.
