I think we can really do without 3 and 29 having newscasts. Its clear they can't compete with WPVI 6 and WCAU 10. 6 and 10 have become too powerful for news in this region. imo there's no longer room for 4 TV stations doing news in this market.

in what world do you live? What major market US city has only 2 news departments? You need to explain yourself, What is the logic behind your statement? Do you just spout out dribble to have yourself heard. If you are unable to defend your statements based on imperical facts than I would suggest you delete your posts.

CBS 3 and FOX 29 are bad in all aspects. Their ratings are horrible and if you combine 6 and 10's ratings, my guess is that those 2 stations have over half the audience in the region combined. 6 and 10 are better because they spend a lot of money enhancing their news divisions and making them better and promoting their newscasts a lot . NBC 10 just moved downtown to their new state of the art studios. That's going to help them stay relevant for years to come, especially with comcast spending a lot of money bringing in new talent to NBC 10 and their news division. as for 6, they will be number 1 forever. They are so powerful that it would be impossible to dethrone them from the number 1 spot

Let's say, for example, you have a job, but aren't the highest paid in your line of work. Other people are.

Should you quit, give up, and find a new line of work?

There's so much wrong with that statement it's darned near impossible to unpack it all.

Channel 6 has been seriously threatened at 11 pm several times, and has lost in key demos at times. The strength of the prime time lineups have a great deal to do with how 3 and 10 do at 11 pm, as they have gone back and forth. Channel 3's building is hardly old at this point, and its studio is pretty snazzy. Yes, channel 10 is now catching up with the new downtown location.

Channel 29's morning show was just reported to be number one in key demos. Bad in all all aspects? That's clearly not bad in all aspects.

Look, I hate channel 29's approach. Can't stomach it. But they're serving an audience and making money. That's exactly what they're in business to do.

So if you're going to spout off, at least spout off with factual information, not false conjecture.
