KYW and WPHT now broadcasting

i can here the hash on 1060 and 1210....

The iBiquity HD supporters here claim that the hash is not there, can't be heard, and we are all imagining the HD digital hash and interference.
Some project that night HD-AM broadcasting will start on Sept. 14. It should be interesting to hear the interference that HD supporters say can't be heard.

Given that a strong local and interference-free AM is lucky to achieve 30db/s-n your point is another of your red herrings. The airchecks I posted showed that even a wideband set tuned properly will effective null iboc hash. Digital tuning does this automatically.

So you see, the digital HD hash is only your imagination!

Yes thats right it is (uugghh)

There go 2 more good AM stations. (Gonna sound like crap now)

But KYW 1060 and WPHT 1210 are now broadcasting in flawless HD radio, sound absolutely wonderful, and are the salvation of broadcasting. Anyone that claims otherwise must be guilty of "childish heckling".
No one can argue with HD radio's infinite perfection, right?
HD radio, the HD cartel and their supporters are very much the latest, and perhaps ultimate fad cult.

1. Disco
2. New Coke
3: And now....IBOC-AM!!

Even if HD-AM had merit (which it does NOT, being principally an Ibiquity-exec enrichment scheme) - even if there was at least lukewarm, tepid demand for it (of which there is practically NONE) it will soon be obsolete when WiMax and similar services roll out nationally in about a year. Listeners already own the devices and internet-streaming terrestrials will then have too-cool widespread coverage. As opposed to unreliable, mode-hopping, intermittent noisy reception on deaf, overpriced receivers (and even those are being discontinued as we speak.)

Guys and gals: REMINDER! Be sure to COMPLAIN to the FCC about IBOC interference. Don't just blog-gripe:

FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
Enforcement Bureau
Technical and Public Safety Division
445 12th St. NW
Washington DC 20554

Remember, the idea here is to inundate the FCC with IBOC complaints. We should have a complaint form up shortly as a document on the WYSL site for you to download, complete and file. Copy your local Congressman.
