From FTVLive via Dan Gross of the Daily News:

Beverly Williams taped her last "Eye on Philadelphia" program for KYW CBS 3 last night.

The longtime news personality will air her last show on the station Sept. 24.

The Sunday-morning show will be replaced by an extended morning newscast from 5:30 to 9. Williams anchored the news for KYW-TV from 1975 to 1981 and again from 1989 to 2003, becoming the first African-American female anchor in town.

Or, as a DJ with whom I used to work calls her:
The round brown mound of sound. ;D

As another poster on another board commented that he'll hate to see Bev leave---"Bev was fun to work with and will be missed". I replied that I always felt like channel 3 treated Bev and her show as "the step child" since her lawsuit. Obviously, one might respond "how ELSE would you expect her to be treated"? I too will hate to see Bev go and lose ANOTHER locally produced product.
