KYZZ GOES AWAY....BUMMER

What a mistake! Like there's really a market for Sports on an FM signal in the Monterey area?? Really??

Buckley killed the best sounding station in town!

Attention BOB/95.5.....LOOK....It's right there for you! You've got the signal and you have the format hole!

Take it! We need an Oldies/Classic Hits Station in the Monterey Bay!!

I agree; heard sports yesterday and you're right, like there is really a market for sports on FM much less a frequency that has been plagued with signal problems and more format changes; I am surprised that CC is allowing a live morning show to exist on 101.1 and by the way Mark Carbonaro is doing an excellent job with that show.

Was it a cost-cutting move for Buckley? Probably so and I predict that it will be matter of time before 97.9 is up for sale again.

Now is a great chance for Mapleton to flip 95.5 to classic hits-signal is good as it reaches the Salinas Valley AND the Monterey Bay as well and there has always been a soft spot for oldies/classic hits in this market.

Well, we still 1200am KYAA with Chuck "Boom-Boom" Cannon in the morning playing the classic tunes.
