KZAP Tx Question

Geez. I used to manage that site for Brown Broadcasting & ARS back in the day. (before it was transferred to ATS) I think that the 5 bay ring stub was the aux for 106.5. 100.5 (my station) had a 2 bay as the backup. No idea what's there these days. Memory is getting a bit fuzzy these days...

I know, resurrecting a VERY old thread -

I got a close up of the old self support tower south of 50 last week (off White Rock Rd). So old it used to have the red/white paint but you can't tell anymore. I presume this tower dates back to the 50's or 60's when Family Radio went on the air with 100.5 KEBR??

106.5 is on top (presumably added around 1977), and below the 100.5 directionals there is a 5-bay (Collins?) ring-stub antenna currently not in use. My guess is this was KZAP when they moved from downtown, until 1993 when the present 98.5 guyed tower was built on the north side of 50 to increase height. At that point the old antenna was abandoned in place.

Can any old radio pros on here confirm??
