KZIA -- What's Up?

With all the KXIC, KCJJ and WMT issues being posted here lately what is the industry talk about KZIA? Recent low level contacts there speak of low pay/long hours (nothing new to radio employees) but the revenue side seems solid without adjustments to the staff. Norton and crew seem to be offhanded mentions in a few recent posts. Just wondering if all is well there or not.

By chance were your "low level contacts" interns? That might explain things because KZIA has easily been the highest paying radio outlet in the market for years. And because they're carrying a full compliment of staff and don't share wit other stations in a cluster, I can't understand why anyone would complain about long hours. Seems like there's enough staff to go around.

Unfortunately, the reply was lost in the database crash but they did say that some of the contacts were interns but a couple are not.
Edited by The_Outsider on 04/07/06 10:43 PM.
