KZPO / Fresno 103.3 LPFM

Too bad listeners of KZPO in Fresno couldn't band together and try to get the new Fresno LPFM on 103.3 moved to some other channel. I for one will miss KZPO.

Is this why I couldn't hear Kings radio for more than only a few miles while driving highway 5 to southern California last weekend?

Does anyone know why KZPO stopped streaming and doesn't respond to emails?

That's surprising that the FCC would grant a lp on 103.3 in Fresno due to KAAT 103.1, maybe KAAT can protest it, it's bound to cause some adjacent interference for them.

We have a new e mail : [email protected]ing is too expensive. Jay Stevens the former pd paid for it out of his own pocket, but I can't afford to do it. Our signal should be strong from the top of the grapevine thru Taft along I-5. Downtown Bako now lost due to a spanish relig. lpfm on 103.3 and a Jamacan one on 103.5 along hwy. 99. New lpfm on 103.3 coming on in Fresno. This and the Bako one outside of our protected contour and I believe outside of the 103.1 as well.

Except translators and LPFM's are still considered secondary services. So if anyone complains to the FCC regarding a lost signal - even if they're outside the protected contour - the LPFM or Translator is required to mitigate the interference or cease operations. This has already happened in a number of cases.

102.3 would be a much better channel than 103.3.

104.7 would cause adj. channel problems for 104.5. Hey, long time no see you around these parts Kenrayc.

Yes you right 104.7 would cause adj. problems, much like 103.1 would to 103.3, 92.5 might work being that The LP in Hanford is very weak and the Merced/ Atwater station is on the valley floor.
Yes it's been awhile, first time on the CC Board since the site came back.

Where did a lot of people that posted here go, Exkynojox, daniel boone, and sam from Stockton and many many more, when this site came back after that hiatus, I had trouble getting back in, a password issue, that I tried over and over to figure out, but i'm here now.

I still think KZPO should move to the new site of KJUG it would work very well and I thing that proposed 103.3 in Fresno should be stopped.

It should also be mentioned that an LPFM has been granted on 106.7 in Fresno. We have looked at coverage from the KJUG site and yes it would be great but the cost of a high powered transmitter and electricy there would be a bit much. We have a good deal on our current site.
