KZPO Sold

I am very sure that staff will not go for it. However some local heavy weights from congress have made several calls to both staff (media bureau and enforcement bureau) and the 8th floor.

I will bet your life that the ruling will be a no go. However -- there is only ONE single ALJ remaining at the FCC. He wants to retire after the New Year. The Commission has no plans to hire any new staff or ALJ's (Admin Law Judges). The calls by local people have made it clear - that there will not be any way possible to make any new hires.
(They alone hold the FCC funds within their hands).

The ALJ may well reject the pleading. That is expected. This case is going all the way to the TOP. The Commission can NOT over turn their own rules without due process.
If the general media (radio and TV stations) can not depend on the FCC to go by their own rules -- there will be MASS court cases. They must play fair. Or the US District Courts make them play fair and toss sand into the Commissioners Eyes and back to the sand box.

As for me being Vern White -- check all of my comments that I have made about Vern.
He stole the two Education stations. He got caught. He will never admit he was wrong.
But give him his due. He is paying for his crimes by having to pay for the attorney.
And he will have to keep paying --unless he wants to give up playing Rock Jock from the 1960's.

So Vern MIGHT end up with Firebaugh -- or Avenal. What has he won? Nothing but
a pocket with no cash. But he helped Zawila solve his problem with the FCC.
Mark him down as a re-formed ?? what ever.

Don't expect to hear from the FCC until late November or so.

I Always thought KYAF was Vern's station both Firebaugh and his Buchanan weekend repeater, which hasn't been on for like 3 years.

Yes, Clovis, the area of Buchanan High School, basically near Herndon and Willow, that signal could be heard at a 5 mile radius from that area.
Also I have heard the main 94.7 from Firebaugh a few years ago driving on Highway 152 near Dos Palos and it was the weekend and the "Chris Edwards" show was playing.

The Clovis station was a non-licensed Bootleg
station set up at Verne's home - for which the FCC made a house call.
Vern never owned KAJP/KYAF Firebaugh.

No, thats not what I meant i was just talking about the current Fresno Market that don't have any real Classic Hits stations like KRTH 101.1 or Jack 93.1, that plays all hits, we have our Classic Rock station KJFX. rock the Blaze 105.1 and Alt new Rock 104.1 .but any oldies stations on FMare "Black Only" no British Invasion, Beach Boys, etc etc...except, on AM 1430 KYNO the greatest hits on earth, The station I grew up with, BOSS RADIO RULES.

All of these stations like Jammin' Oldies, The Beat caters to the non-white crowd.

Look at the FCC Website public knowledge the sale was not approved in fact was thrown out also they filed 45 Citations against William Zawala a lawyer is Los Angeles who the FCC is in process of taking KZPO away from him and his clients
 
Yeah OK Jesse Portillo could not come up with that kind of money... anyway the FCC outlawed Distress sales over 6 years ago It will NEVER happen
Follow the FCC rulings that station will be gone soon
 
Just saw this Kfso do you realize who was a 51% owner in that corporation .. you should you complain about him all time on here but he and Tom Quinn his partner made big$$ from Clear Channel .. they smiled all the way to the bank!!

Not so much tonight I'm hearing, I think, Modesto (Is it still Kat?) coming in with KZPO, and No, It's not Spanish KAAT bleeding in, this is separate, and the Fulton Mall station is silent.
