KZPO

A snowstorm knocked them off the air, damage to the cables to the transmitter, expected to be back on in a week or two.

Great coverage from wherever the transmitter is located, time to winterize the place.

The site is Blue Ridge Mountain which is 5700 ft above Sea level, same site as KJUG 106.7.
KBOS 94.9 and KMPH Fox 26 used to be there, KBOS moved North to Eshom Point lower at 5200 ft, but with the HAAT factor increased power from 770 watts ERP to 17,000 Watts ERP, making it the better site and also being closer to Fresno, but harder to get in Bakersfield.

KZPO and KJUG can't move to Eshom point, being to close to 103.3 KAAT and 106.3 KVPW.

You are correct. KZPO can not move to Eshom Point - at about + 5200 feet AMSL. However -- KZPO can move to a new HIGHER location at about + 7000 feet -- and an HAAT of 100 meters -- with full 25 KW ERP -- making the coverage equal to a FULL CLASS C station -- in area. I would say its well worth the asking price. However -- No one has the cash or the dream. Any station that can put a 60 dbu over both Fresno and Bakersfield -- is a good deal. That's why two local station owners are both kicking the tires.
