KZQX Radio World Article

An INCREDIBLE read.

Did you beat the odds or WHAT Chuck?!

I agree, that was a great story and I commend you for all the hard work!

Probably so. Even more amazing is it is actually accurate reporting. Not many publications take the time to get the facts right. My hat's off to Radio World.

How could they NOT mention the format?
Well, they didn't say "Adult Standards," but they did mention Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Truth be known, it is not a typical Adult Standards station.

I suspect the main reason they did not get very deep into the format is because the article was about the transition from noncommercial to a much higher power commercial station. Since LPFM is fairly controversial at this time, I can see why they concentrated on that aspect of the story.

The Radio World publication primarily is targeting the technical folks and engineers.

As a general rule, they are more interested in the nuts and bolts of how things work. In the case of Chuck's article, the real angle is that "this gentlemen was able to make LPFM work, despite all the negativity and belief that LPFM is break even at best."
