KZTK 99.3 Tyler-Longview goes all sports?

There are music royalties paid by stations taking syndicated talk. It's pretty cheap...you pay for all the bumper music

Momentary brain burp on my part, but, yes, there's a very small royalty you pay for bumper music, though there are some third rate talkers that don't even run bumpers. Of course, if you even have one talker who uses bumpers, you pay a little bit.

It's a moot point now, the station has canned the talk/sports format.

Any hints or rumors on where the Wheel of Formats will stop THIS time?

Whoever is calling the shots there needs to have their head examined. You can't build a consistent audience if you're gutting and starting over every other time the wind direction changes.

They started the talk format in 2009 so I think that if it didn't take in 3 years that it wasn't going to take 3 years is more than enough to get a format to take off.

Didn't realize they had been talking for 3+ years now.

Wow....

So is it me or are they flipping formats every time someone gets a wild hair somewhere?
