KZZO

My bet would be on Carmy Ferrari to return to the Zone. Seems likely considering that Results is looking for someone to fill his most recent position. Yes?

It was announced today that the new KZZO PD will be Max Miller from KOSO, Modesto (Clear Channel). He was also the VP of Programming for CC Sacto, Stockton and Modesto and the Modern AC Brand Manager for Honolulu, Fresno and Spokane.

Max Miller seems like a good choice. B93 always sounds pretty good on the radio. I read where his wife, who was on the air, had her MD/midday position eliminated and that's when Max resigned. Can you imagine? They're laying in bed together...."Honey, you're fired". radio is an ugly business. But there's no bitness like the radio bitness! Max will lift the KZZO up to the radio heavens.

Does he have any experience programming FM Talk? 8)

I was recently at Results Radio (Chico) and my position on KLRS 92.7 FM on the weekends and my on air position was deleted after just 1 month there. Our operations manager who also was PD of KRQR 106.7 FM Kelli Cluque has also quit and rejoined KCAL-FM Riverside. With rumors of Carmelo Ferrari joining elsewhere, where does he go from here? I heard from OM Rick Healy could be named OM of the Redding cluster.

Is Carmy out in Redding? He seemed happy there the last time I spoke with him. He hired me at The Zone before he left for Dallas. He's a very colorful PD.

Operations Management Situations.

Carmy Ferrari is no longer with Results Radio LLC Redding California. He was the operations manager there for approximately 3 years I believe. It might have been longer. I too noticed Carmy as a colorful man that cares about his air talent and staff. Results Radio LLC Chico California also have sought to fill an operations manager post because Kelli Cluque rejoins KCAL- RIVERSIDE. Rick Healy who was the operations manager of Redding cluster a few years has opted not to take the position after several rumors swirled around that he would return to the great area of Shasta County. Does anyone know a fellow named Bob Darling? He was my PD and OM for my very very first start in radio in 1998. Bob Darling was part of KUKI- KJOI- KBNF- KPCO-AM, KSYC-FM, MORE AND MORE OTHERS!
It sure shows you that radio is a cruel world in some ways and other times it isnt.
