XEWW has not been owned by Clear Channel (who leased it, anyway) for about 3 years... it is owned by a company 50% owned bvy televisa, which is a lot bigger than Clear Channel, and Prisa from Spain , also bigger than Clear Channel. The format is talk, not news.

Thanks David. I've sent an email to the "errors?" link at allaccess.com - they had the wrong (outdated) descriptors on their site for this station. Does the LMA with Clear Channel still exist (maybe only on paper after C.C. was forced to divest), or is the station totally independently owned by GLR (Televisa/Grupo Prisa)?

Can someone please explain how Saul can make money on KGIL when it has the same ratings as an emergency test tone?

Who buys time? How much do they pay? Wouldn't it make more sense just to unplug it or just run 24/7 infomercials?

GLR is the operating company for Prisa in the US; the station, licenced in Mexico, is owned by Televisa and Prisa's jointly owned company, called Televisa Radio.

Clear owned what are called the "US Sales Rights" which is a term that predates the LMA. The license was always in a Mexican national's name, and that person sold the license to Prisa / Televisa.
