Age 6+ overall publicly released data for the February 2011 period of Thu. 2/3/11 to Wed. 3/2/11.
Next report will be for March 2011 (Thu. 3/3/11 to Wed. 3/30/11) with the release date of Mon. 4/18/11.
KJLH is at 1.0 rating how can this be? They're usually the lowest rated Urban in LA. Heck they were struggling since the 90's when KKBT was ruling the airwaves. How could this be?

Nice bump for Power 106. KBIG and KNX steadily climbing. KAMP struggling to get back to a 4.0; they seem stuck at 3.5. The two biggest public stations, KUSC and KPPC, are steadily falling; perhaps the latter is losing listeners to KNX. Is KXOS taking listeners from KLVE?

As long as they are making their billing to keep the lights and transmitter on they could care less about their ratings. Not enough african americans in Los Angeles to support KJLH with a decent share. Its Urban targeted at african americans only 7% of the demo. Stevie payed like what 2 million for the station back in 78 from Lamar Funeral Home. He has no debt. Im sure he's putting his own money in the station but what can you expect on a low power station.

KIIS and KOST are looking good #1 with teens. AMP and Power have decent numbers too.

That station, pre-recession, billed around $9 1/2 million, and was likely in the $4 to $5 million range for 2010. That's quite enough to make some respectable profits, too.

Class A FMs can do well in LA if properly niched. The combo of KBUE got to nearly $30 million in revenues before the recession. Of course, the recession took nearly 40% off total market revenue. KSSE is likely in the $6 million range, another A. KRCD, which is top 10 in 25-54 in the last book, bills over $10 million per industry reports. KDAY is poised to bill nicely with its current numbers, too. KDLD likely did between $4 and $5 million last year, too. And, while it is anyone's guess as to revenue, the A's serving the Asian communities do very very well.

My point exactly David none of the asian targeted stations are in the top 20 either. Its all about billing.
