830 in LA is right wing talk as i remember. I always wondered if Peak put a non-compete clause in the sale of 790 to Big Dawg. Whether there was one or not- if 790 goes that direction maybe it can put a dent in KMJ's numbers- KYNO doesn't seem to be able to do that.

Sorry about the typo, yes it is KLAA. 830am in the L.A. market is almost entirely sports talk, with Angels and Ducks play by play, except Rusty Humphries is on from 1pm to 4pm and something called the "radio detective" from 10pm to 1am. Noon to 1pm seems to be paid shows. The release from the sales dept. at KLAA I got yesterday said that Noon to 7pm on 790 Clovis will be available for paid shows.

Almost forgot about him being on the Old HOT TALK 940 KFRE. And as for KMPH-860/107.5, it was actually KTRB-860, NOT KMPH-860, though for all practical purposes, since KTRB simulcasted KMPH 24/7 (until 2003), they were one and the same. Today, the New 840 is now KMPH.

I seem to remember Jerry Pierce being pretty popular. KYNO should go free form, some right wing, maybe Ed Shultz and some hot talk. I still think an long form drive time news might be smart for them.
