The KIIS FM playlist is made up of today's top selling artists such Usher, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Pitbull, Dev, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Drake and LMFAO. That's why KIIS FM is still thriving until this very day.

Sorry, I'm still a novice at understanding ratings, and up until now I never bothered to ask what all these terms mean. I get that "cume" refers to the number of unique listeners. So there are fewer unique listeners, but the rating didn't drop. How could that be, unless maybe the remaining unique listeners started listening more often...?

Sorry, I'm still a novice at understanding ratings, and up until now I never bothered to ask what all these terms mean. I get that "cume" refers to the number of unique listeners. So there are fewer unique listeners, but the rating didn't drop. How could that be, unless maybe the remaining unique listeners started listening more often...?

Longer. Their arthritis prohibits them from turning the dial.

Most likely, KIIS saw a spike from the onslaught of "boy bands"- groups like the Wanted, One Direction and other teen pop acts like Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber that became increasingly popular at CHR, and don't get played as much at KAMP. Also, there were two big rock hits from Fun and Gotye that KIIS was spinning more than KAMP- so a slight shift away from the rhythmic heavy direction of CHR seems to have benefited KIIS in this month (although its hard to make any concrete statements off of one month)

Just saw that KIIS added Tongue Tied by Grouplove, a song that still hasn't been fully embraced by Alternative yet.
