La calle 92.5

KWUP / KSBJ Navasota 92.5 conflicts with it and may generate complaints from 92.5 KSBJ listeners in the north part of the county,

No it won't. You have to be as far out as Tomball to get any listenable reception of KWUP, and even then the main KSBJ signal is stronger. The translator won't reach that far.

 Frog, Sorry but it is going that far, I was listening in the car yesterday and I heard the translator just fine poping in and out with KWUP in Tomball area, at times translator was covering up KWUP depending on where I was driving.

I'm following Radiodiscussions moderator rules. And he asked us not to mention certain people and I'm doing just that. And don't inbox me about it cause I'm not saying anymore

That all sounds very ambiguous to me. And fishy.

New station in Houston. Playing tropical music. La calle 92.5

As promised, the translator is rebroadcasting KCOH 1230, which has also flipped formats today.

Solid signal on 92.5 near downtown and going west on the Katy Freeway. Still solid outbound on 290 to the Beltway. Slightly choppy just outside the Beltway. Decent signal at my Cy-Fair location.

The station describes itself as Tropical, but seems to have a wider range of musical styles than other stations I've heard with that format.

Good professional presentation, and audio quality sounds fine. The audio on 92.5 is a few seconds ahead of 1230.

Same announcer from 94.1 La Nueva and 104.5 La Mejor

Wonder why they went with an AM as the originating station instead of a FM HD subchannel. Cheaper to lease KCOH?

La Calle sounds like what you might hear in Miami. But are there enough of those demographics in Houston to make the station a success?

Might be a few, not enough to have their own format. I assume that this signal is only heard around the loop. Not around the Galleria where I would think there's more demographics for that format.

And the name sounds very close to Univisions LA KALLE I wonder if Univision has anything to say about it, that's even if they can.

So I see this post from DJ SUNNY D back in May saying the following
