Last week, the two-FM network owned by Raul Alarcon, Sr., ended its separate and live operation and began simulcasting Miami's WRMA.

All the on air staff of WMFM and WZMQ were let go, as well as many office and sales personnel.

They had been doing a tropical format for Monroe County Hispanics but of recent were being beaten in the ratings by Maimi stations and had very low sales.
