Alan “BuddhaMan” Lohr receives lifetime Achievement Award for work in radio
LOS ANGELES – Alan “Buddhaman” Lohr will be presented with the Producers Choice “Career Achievement In Radio” award during The 21st Annual Los Angeles Music Awards Thursday November 10th 2011.
Alan K.Lohr (BuddhaMan) has been in the broadcasting industry for over 35 years since the debut of his show The International Experience in 1979 on KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles and now heard on RDSN's KONG Monsterrock.net where Lohr is the current station GM.
“We couldn't be more excited to see one of our own recognized for his amazing career in our industry.” said Jayden Prince Founder & CEO of the Radio Domination Streaming Network (RDSN).
Alan has interviewed a list of artists over the years to numerous to mention and produced shows for KPFK, KCRW, KGIL, KIEV, KFOX. He hosted The Third Eye a metaphysical program that explored the space, time and the mind. Alan has done Voiceovers for Pontiac, Fox Sports, Disney, Discovery Channel, Imax, as well as numerous movie trailers and much more.
The Los Angeles Music Awards and its sister production the Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards, will take place on Thursday, November 10th at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood and will feature the presentation of 30 awards to independent artists and bands who were voted on by fans and industry panel on September 22nd at the Whisky A Go-Go as part of the Los Angeles Music Awards annual voting event. These will be presented at the end of the night on stage inside the theater. There will also be an additional 30 Producers Choice Awards presented on the red carpet to various recipients from the independent music community.
