La Nueva here, there, everywhere

I am now hearing La Nueva on 101.7, 96.1, 95.3 as well as on 91.5 in parts of town.

101.7 could be from a newly activated KVGK-LP supposedly located near North Shepard and West Tidwell. I can hear it along 290 fighting with KNTE and K269GS.

96.1 could be the yet-unnamed LPFM near the Eastex Freeway and Beltway 8, but I’m surprised if it is making it as far as it is—I am hearing it inside the Loop and along 290 fighting with KBLT, KIRP, and K241CO.

95.3 appears to be KCDE-LP on Antoine between West Gulf Bank and West Mount Houston.

Of course 91.5 is what La Nueva brands itself with. This is K218EJ, supposedly at the Missouri City tower farm.

Not sure if any of the LPFMs associated with this have their own programming. There are other LPFMs that are little more than a network feed.

I don’t think it’s KVGK-LP, the signal is not good enough on Tidwell and 45 North. It would had been very good there. I can hear it fight VS KNTE

Interesting. The only way a LPFM can broadcast programming heard on another LPFM is when that programming is offered by a separate company that only offers the programming. For example: 10 Catholic LPFMs all airing EWTN is perfectly fine. EWTN is the program provider and it is 'hands off' as far as licensee control of any type. The station is an affiliate. A LPFM cannot originate programming from a full power FM.

Funny I’m driving by 45 and West Rd Listening to the station on 96.1 FM. Then I hear the guy on the radio say you are listening to the new FM station for La Nueva And on the other three stations to all four of them. I can stop and eat at raising Cane’s and when I come out of eating 96.1 FM is playing some Asian music. And on the other three stations they have regular programming.

92.5 Is Playing Christian music in Spanish Hey passed a little bit of static compared to before when they’re la Mejor .?But they are not play the same songs that they are playing on the other stations?

It looks like they definitely powered down as soon as they moved the previous Tropical format to 105.3. The station wasn't very listenable in humble after that.

Sorry for all the Typos, meant to say that I was listening to 92.5 and it was not La Mejor. They were playing Christian Music in Spanish but was not simulcasting La Nueva Either, the station sounded good in The Heights but the more north I drove on 45 North the worst it got, it got to the point where there weren’t listenable anymore.

Keep in mind that there are two LPFMs lurking on 92.5--KJJG and KHGF. If La Mejor is off the air you might catch one of them depending on your location. I've heard KJJG in the midtown area during an outage of the 92.5 translator.
