LA Radio Bumper Stickers

I'm working on a collection of radio bumper stickers from all over the country, and am trying to have one from all of the music-based stations in the Los Angeles/Orange County market. I don't have anything for 98.7 FM, 93.5 KDAY, 94.7 The Wave, or the now defunct stations, Star 98.7 and Indie 103.1. Does anybody have anything they'd be willing to trade for, or extras to give away?

I have nothing to offer (sorry) but I admire you quest. I have nostalgic feelings about radio station bumper stickers. They used to be on lots of cars many years ago but you hardly see them now. I guess people don't like the idea of putting "permanent" stickers on their cars anymore. I am surprised that stations don't market "temporary" forms of stickers for cars, like the ones Jiffy Lube puts on your window, or magnetic ones used for various charitable causes I see now. I would love to put those kind of stickers for radio stations on my car.

I remember I got some Indie stickers back when they were on the air by just sending them an email and my address. Too bad I have no idea where they are right now. Maybe you can still send them an email and they still might have some laying around from the old radio station, especially if you offer to send postage.

I know 98-7 gives some away at their live events, although I went to see the reunion of the band Something Corporate at Bamboozle and 98-7 had three booths set up and there were no stickers to be found. I'm sure if I had asked they might have known where I could have gotten some. Really all you need to do is send an email if they'd be willing to give you stickers and include some money or stamps for the postage, unless they are defunct.

I have an extra static sticker from The Wave if you're interested in trading. I have quite a few other stix to swap as well. Contact me for a complete list. Thanks!

Suggestion: check eBay; I know of someone who's been trying to sell off their entire collection & currently have dozens listed, mainly from SoCal stations but also other cities as well. Lots of KROQ items especially (since they've always been extremely prolific in the sticker dept.), some going back 20 years or more. Looks like they're adding new or at least different ones regularly so if you don't see what you want my advice would be to keep checking back (or even send in a request & you might get lucky)...to find just search on "KROQ" (or whatever station(s) you're lookin for.) And no this isn't a commercial endorsement, but I'd be happy to accept a commission!

The Indie promotions closet was cleaned within 48 hours of the station shutting down. There were many looking to take a piece of radio history with them on their way out the door.

I have a few Indie 103.1 stickers and baseball trading cards (Mr. Shovel, Joe Escalante and the morning news girl whose name I forgot). All the Jonsey cards were snatched up, obviously.

Y-107 did that. I used to have a Y107 clear vinyl sticker that was removable. Only problem was that because I left the sticker on my rear window for so long, it left a clear film. If you looked at my window at an angle you can see the oval.

I have a couple of Indie bumper stickers if you would like them. I managed to get a few along with one t shirt before everything mysteriously disappeared. ::)

Thank you all for the suggestions and offers. I was able to track down Indie 103.1 and 94.7 the Wave stickers on Ebay. Still looking for Star, KDAY, and 98.7 FM. Thanks again for all of the assistance, and if you come across anything else, I'd be glad to hear about it!

I wish I had saved the KLOS concert stickers of the early 80's. Those were really cool, and being young and dumb, didn't realize how cool I'd think a Pink Floyd sticker would be today!

My brother still uses my mini-fridge from college with the KMET sticker on the side.
