In Los Angeles, what is the percentage of radio listening in cars vs. homes?

Also, do you have figures for the percentage after 7 p.m.?

There are two ways of looking at this.

43% of LA listening time is at home, 33% in car, 23% at work and 3% elsewhere.

72% listen at some time in each week at home, 85% in the car, 26% at work and 14% elswhere.

(Winter, 2005)

The difference is that in car listening is for shorter periods than in home or at work, but more ppeople do it.

45% of LA listeners cume radio at night.

I'm not disputing your figures, but doesn't Arbitron automatically tally listening as being "in home" if the diary-keeper doesn't note where the listening was done?

Yep, that is the default. But very few diaries are not ticked properly.
