Please take a moment to answer these questions:

1) Who is or was the biggest looser, moron, idiot, strange radio personality to have worked in this city that you have listened to on am or fm?

2)Who was the funniest, the most creative, showed moments of brilliance, personality you have heard on Atlanta radio?

Question 1 - The regular guys
Question 2 - The regular guys

#1: Freddy Mertz WGST 640

#2: Early Skinny Bobby Harper (great prank calls)

Pete Davis - Not exactly per your description, but overall, very entertaining to listen to.

1. Gerry House of WSIX in Nashville. An absolutely self-centered person and had quite a bit of fun at my expense.

2. Tie...Garry Kinsey of (then) WKHX and now of Eagle 106.7. A class act...funny and very down to earth.........Chris Monroe of (then) WSB and now of WGKA. Very professional and smart. Has a lot of good ideas and is willing to risk his career for his principles (which usually work)

#2-Pete Davis has a way of making sports talk very entertaining even if you don't like sports. Another rare talent is Mara Davis, most DJs sound awkward and uncomfortable on remote broadcasts in public but Mara is a hoot. Of course there's always Dave Paul, he was legendary around 1990 or so.

#1-The worst were the trying-too-hard-to-be-sassy types that 99x tried to go with a few years ago. I'm not sure of the names but know that they're the ones now in Boston. It's like 99x looked at the Larry, Moe and Curley type interaction on MorningX during the heyday and decided that since the Curley is the funny one it would be great to have all Curleys.

hey Surfer...care to tell more?

Best
Active: Larry Wachs- Entertaining in radio, print, movies, short films, and his blog.
Inactive: David Paul- The most original and creative host in Atlanta radio history.

Worst:
Active: (tie) Dave Ramsey and John David Wells.
Inactive: Southside Steve. So bad he’s good entertainment. I miss him on TRG.

1. The guy on 99X that won that contest a few years back to be their new DJ.
2. The Randy Miller Morning Show on Z93.

Question 1: I don't like to bash others (I know...what the hell am I doing on this board). I've been in Indianapolis for 13 years so I'm not qualified to answer.

Question 2: When David Paul is at the top of his game he's brilliant. I wish I had some of his shows from '90-'91 archived. I'd love to hear him do mornings on a country station. Ian Punnet is very good also. I think Ian works better in more liberal parts of the country. He's very intelligent. I also thought Moby could be great at times...especially when he was going through a divorce.

I agree that Ian is a very intelligent. However, he does have a libral streak in him. I do not know how well he is doing, but he is now in his politically correct broadcast area.

I found him to be boring in Atlanta and I am happy he has found a new home more to his liking.
