Z106.7 goes head to head with The Beat?
Your thoughts....
You're right, The Beat 104.3 is always better than the other stations around. Most of the time, they break out new music, they always play some ol' skool especially the ol' skool mixes Friday at 5 and Sunday from 5 to 7pm. Thursday nights, they are live from a club where for 3 hours they play a mix of Hip-Hop and Reggaeton. Sunday nights they have Subelo. 104.3 caters to EVERYBODY. When they get HD radio, their HD2 channel will be Urban AC. What I'm concerned is what the Beat will be like once Entercom takes over the station. I hope they don't change the format. Just keep it like it is and the beat will be fine.sdh483 said:you know what? I have finally came to terms and have decided that San Antonio does need another hip hop station......to destroy The Beat! I really really like 104.3 The Beat in Austin because they have a really nice, non repetitive playlist, and they play more r&b music. I would like to see a hip hop station that either mixes in classic hip hop, or at least has an HD2 stream of classic hip hop. We need a hip hop station that is targeted to an older audience, preferably 18-25. It seems like SA's beat is targeting younger kids, and it seems like they don't mind the repetitive songs, or do they?
Your right, it would be great to have another hiphop channel, but it probably wont happen
