Like so many in the business, radio did not define me as a person. It was a job I enjoyed and did to the best of my abilities. I was fortunate to have worked with some outstanding professionals and develope friendships. Like so many in the print and electronic media who have been downsized, Labor Day 2009 is markedly different than Labor Day 2008. Today, I'd like to salute to those who are still employed in the business they love and the men and women who are "pulling a shift" today, especially nurses and doctors, cops and firemen, the men and women in our military, especially those in Iraq and Afghanistan. I also salute those who are working hard to find a job. Have a safe and meaningful Labor Day.
