lack of concern in lafayette

i have just switched between every station i can pick up from lafayette. no coverage. period! wwl said south if i 10 was under orders to evacuate but ksmb is playing music like nothing is happening? anybody heard any station doing anything over there??<P ID="signature">______________

99.1 KXKC has carried continous coverage since last night. We are currently simulcasting with KLFY-TV 10 and will begin a simulcast with all of our Citadel stations at about 3p this afternoon.

On the radio side... from what I can hear, Apex/Lake Charles (92.1/KTSR, 92.9/KHLA, 99.5/KNGT, and 107.5/KVEE) has gone wall to wall as well as 1420/KPEL and 105.1/KPEL-FM, and 102.9/KAJN and 99.1/KXKC are both relaying 10/KLFY, who's gone wall to wall on the TV side, along with 3/KATC.

Once the storm gets closer and power starts failing, I'm sure more stations will cut into regular programming.

We are now well within our full coverage. We break to both KLFY and KATC throughtout every hour. This is not about who is first or who does it best. It's about delivering the information. God Bless every station who is doing their part to help get word out about this storm. We are a public information source first, then a entertainment outlet. <P ID="signature">______________
