Lacy Fortune 1950-2010

After a long illness, Vonceile "Lacy Fortune" Tiller finally goes home. She passed away in Hermann Hospital, Monday (8/30) at 1:30AM. Her memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Brookhollow Baptist Church, 5725 Queenston Boulevard, Houston, TX 77084.

She was a special lady Chuck. I met her at the Radio Reunion and it was clear why you and she were such a happy couple. You are in my prayers my friend.

I appreciate it. However, you met my current wife, Mary. Vonceile was already ill at that time and did not get out much. Vonceile suffered from diabetes, which eventually led to the loss of her leg. Eventually, with heart problems and complete kidney failure, she had several strokes this year beginning earlier this year. Vonceile and I ended our relationship in 1995. However, we remained friends. Mary and I have been together since 1998.

Chuck, I am so sorry to hear the news. You and your family are in my prayers.

Chuck,

Sorry to hear that myself. My condolences to your son and family.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences.

Wayyy late on this...I worked with Vonceile at Shadow Houston. She was a great lady and we laughed a lot...Wasn't shy, either! Which is what made her so much fun to banter with. RIP, Vonceile...
