That station is no longer necessary to launch anyone with a Lady Gaga sound today. It was in 2006 and 2007 and most of 2008. Now that whole sound is the "new normal sound" of hit music. I do give her credit though because she was the one who pushed us over towards a deeper sound, but I still give credit to Timbaland and Missy (and even Ciara) for kicking off this entire (re)jumpstart of the uptempo sound, that was dying up until around the time "lose control" and "sexy back" came out and became successful. I guess you could say Rihanna's "SOS" did also help to some degree. Without recapping the full version of he entire process again, I'll summarize briefly; Missy and Timbaland started the whole new generation of the sound back in 2005; Flash forward to later 2008 and the producers behind Akon, Pitbull, and Flo Rida came along and perfected it, then shortly after, Kid Cudi and Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas...etc. pretty much just said "you know what? Enough with the fake s*** lets stop fooling around and get straight to it", with each one bringing a different element and aspect of electronica to light. Britney and others just jumped on the bandwagon helping the sound progress, similar to a crowd cheering on and encouraging an already winning team that had many prior victory struggles.
Now, it seems as if almost half of all the producers out there want to make house, breaks, and booty bass beats, AND THIS IS THE TIME FOR DANCE ARTISTS AND PRODUCERS TO GET UP AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MOMENT!
Remember my "meet me halfway theory?" I can't remember the link to the page with that theory I explained in spring, but here's another example:
People are embracing your sound, then you MEET THEM HALFWAY! They are edging towards dance, so you edge a bit towards the electro-pop sound, and meet in the middle, then slowly bring them to your side. David Guetta is one who provides a PERFECT EXAMPLE of what I'm talking about, and the BEST part of what he did was he developed a formula and found a way to successfully make people come 75% to his pure electronic dance/house side! What did Cascada do for example? The same thing. She saw exactly what was going on, jumped on the opportunity, took the dance sound and popped/urbanized it up a bit. Akon, Pitbull, and even Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Sean Kingston....etc. went the other way - towards the dance sound.
SEE HOW IT'S ALL WORKING OUT IN THE MIDDLE?
As of right now, we are approaching the middle, and 2010 is when we are going to slowly bring them to our side. But BEFORE THEY REACH OUR SIDE, that's when we need to think of what we must do to keep them here once they get here long enough to help us rise up, before they take off and go on to whatever comes next.

But anyway, what I REALLY came to say?
This Lady Gaga "Bad Romance" seems to be doing VERY well, so fast! It's already on the U.K.'s official chart show, and rhythmic stations like KZON in PHOENIX!! think about it - PHOENIX! are already indicating that they will soon have it in full rotation. I bet 2004/2005 it would've only done ALMOST as well as Bob Sinclair's "rock this party" did on rhythmic and top 40 radio nationwide.
