Has anyone heard how the Lafayette Arbitron shook out? I've been hearing bits and pieces but nothing that sounds concrete. Who did what? Let us all know. ???

The word here at Citadel Lafayette is that Scott Daniels non-compete is up this month and Townsquare has already hired him for on-air under the guise of a sales job until his go date. Seems they want to kick KXKC when its already way down as the next book begins in a month.

Damn it Luther Frost! Quit Sucking your on D on this board. You are part of the reason KXKC is down. Who's place are you taking on KMDL? Obviously they are already kicking ass by your own account. What superb jock are going to force off of the air? Who's job are you going to kill? Thanks to you and your previous morning show partner for having a 3rd grader's sense of humor after hearing their first Adam Sandler CD, you have helped bring down a couple of notches a legendary station that was rather dominant for many years in not only country but the general market in Lafayette. You sir are a tool. Some may call this character assassination but you have no character. Give it a few months once he gets back on the air, he will offend some segment of the listening audience. He will slowly erode KMDL's number also. KXKC is down but not out.

KXKC is toast. Citadel higher ups are more to blame than on the local end. They were told "It ain't broke, so don't fix it". They of course, came in and tinkled on the furniture to mark their territory, and alienated the core audience and their preference of music. Most of all, they insulted local acts by pulling them from prime time. The current GM could care less about KXKC.

I would change the call letters and go with another identity, because all they have done over the past 4 years is totally destroy what the real people who no longger are there put together.

KXKC's obit was written the day Citadel took over.
