Lafayette Radio Stations For Sale?

So, I've been hearing so many things lately. Cumulus has 93.7 for sale. Townsquare has 105.1 for sale...Pittman may have their whole cluster for sale? Anyone know if this information is accurate, and if so...How do i go about finding out asking prices for these stations? ??? ???

Thanks for any and all input!

Google radio stations for sale and usually comes up with lots of brokers who do the deals. Not sure who is doing what as none of them came up showing hints to Lafayette

However I am wondering about Pittman on one in the New Orleans area here: http://www.mergernetwork.com/index/radio-stations-for-sale/

But easiest way is to call ownership on file with fcc for info (actually their lawyers who's info is underneath the licensee info).. if it's for sale they will give you a contact name. I figure KRDJ should be cheaper priced as the transmitters for the station are having issues (It's interesting what bargining chips you pick up on from fcc public files)

For example: https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/w...ext=25&appn=101518320&formid=911&fac_num=8167

For instace the link is the application so they could use non licensed equipment to put station on air. the lawyer is Nancy Ory at Lerman Senter in Washington DC.. she will know or can possibly tell you of anything if the brokers have nothing known

KRDJ will leave the trust and go back to Cumulus control once KSMB moves to the KRDJ stick and becomes a defacto Baton Rouge station. The construction permit to move KSMB was issued a few weeks ago.

Rumors abound that 2013 will be one of the biggest shake up years in Lafayette radio...........we shall see............

I hope the Rock moves to 94.5!

94.5 will have the exact same signal as 93.7 as it will downgrade to a C1, which is what KRDJ is, and will be on the same tower. So, moving rock to 94.5 won't change the signal at all. However, I suppose Cumulus could put a more Baton Rouge-centric format on 94.5 and move KSMB to another Lafayette stick.

Why wouldn't they just keep top-40 on 94.5?

I could see them making changes at 94.5 because there's more money in the Baton Rouge market than there is in Lafayette. It's possible Cumulus could look at the situation and decide they couldn't bill as much in Baton Rouge as they're currently billing in Lafayette, but I'm sure they're either looking or have looked at the pros and cons of both.

I don't see Cumulus getting rid of KSMB altogether, but I could see them making it more of a Baton Rouge station or shuffling it to another frequency. 99.1 would be a perfect new home for KSMB, especially if they wanted to try country in Baton Rouge. Yeah, I know Citadel failed repeatedly with country on 103.3, but Cumulus is heavily into country formats, and they tend to think they can do it better than their predecessors.
