I'm sorry to hear that. Joe has done a lot with those stations. Any idea where he's gone or who the new GM is?

I only heard Heather on this morning. Does that mean his wife is gone too? I really hope not. They made me listen and often made me smile.

Something is up here... Joe would not have left on his own. He built those stations, and has gone to bat for this staff in their defense to CC many times. He just hired his wife to do mornings and sell. I heard they cancelled Christmas right after the announcement, or at least the Christmas event. Too bad. I guess Santa Claus has left the building!

I have to agree,he's done alot for those stations. But defending them to Clearchannel?...I really doubt if Clearchannel Atlanta even knows they exist down there, let alone the folks in San Antonio.

yes, Pedicino knew how to wheel and deal. He did build those stations up..that is without a doubt. However, I have to agree with atlanta listener. Pedicino never went to bat for the staff at the Lagrange/Newnan cluster. I have heard from a couple of former employees that pedicino had a tendancy to abused his power.

Also Pedicino opened the midwest ga area to many great talents like Chris East, Jackie Steele, Benji, and others.

The greatest abuse of power, is to take no action at all when it is needed. Clear Channel trusted Pedicino to run those stations as a manager and not as a friend of its employees. I commented earlier that Pedicino defended this bunch to Clear Channel on many occassions. You can only defend the stations results for so long-- then you have to take action which is unpleasant.
I heard a solicitation for new sales people at that place just a few weeks ago.I remember it because it was obnoxious with an air horn. I guess Clear Channel wanted to know what they were getting for their money down there, and Pedicino had to ask a few unwilling friends to do thier job while hiring new blood. Its like allowing your kids to play in the street until someone gets hurt... Now you are a power abusing a**hole when you ask them to move it to the yard.
Being an effective manager means management of people, even people you like. When I count the number of people who were almost fired from there, who begged for second chances it becomes clear.I say that place will get the enema it so rightly deserves... too bad Pedicino valued his friends there more than his own position.
Are he and his wife going back into wrestling?

I didn't beg, thank you. I took responsibility. I'd hope I'm proving myself by now! :p

I wasn't going to comment, but it is so cruel to read things like this. I agree it sounds like some people needed to do their jobs, but again, why the comment "I say that place will get the enema it so rightly deserves!"? Why do you have a right to decide what people deserve? You must know these people personally! Making a statement like that. What have they done to you?

"Enema it deserves?" G.You act like a former employee with VERY sour grapes and no compassion for people. Regardless of your personal feelings for Mr. P., this is these workers lives we are talking about. Some may live from check to check like we all do. Also, I'm sure most of them have lives outside of their every day working lives. They have Brothers, Sisters, Wives, Husbands, Mothers, Fathers, and some have Children just like we do, or did the humanity of this completely slip your mind? That these are human beings we are talking about.
