LaGrange's 104.7 is now on the air...

Connor Media's WZUP has apparently completed its move from Rose Hill to LaGrange. The station began testing from the new facilty yesterday and is airing Spanish language programming today, "LaInvasora 104.7". In english: "The Invader 104.7".

The new signal stops on a scan here in Wilson. That's surprising, considering the station broadcasts from the old 300ft WISP/WQDW stick in Kinston.

See this link to Radio-Locator for the predicted coverage area:

I'm surprised that WZUP is sticking with spanish-languaged programming considering its close proximity and overlap with WYMY 96.9 "La Ley".
______________

It stops on a scan here in Winterville/South Greenville too, just noticed it a few minutes ago and though "what the heck is this?"

Too bad for A.G. Cox Middle School, who has tons of signs outside the school promoting "Raider Talk 104.7." I guess the Spanish Club took it over :)
______________

My best guess would be that they might go with something new in the not too distant future. But with the company that owns them who knows.
Anyway what formatt holes could they fill?
