Laird Leaving Greg Hill Show

Ken Laird will be leaving the The Greg Hill Show at WEEI. He will be the new Operations Manager for the station.

A search for his replacement as show producer is now happening.

Announcement was made this morning on the show.

Haven't listened to Hill since he moved to WEEI. I preferred Hill on WAAF over Toucher and Rich, only because of the more broad (general) approach to the show. Both being formatted first as sports talk shows, with general entertainment mixed in, Toucher and Rich beat out Hill. Plus, to me, Hill's old show was mostly LB and the voices from Mike Hsu and/or Kevin Barbare.

Basically under the same format, it's T&R. (T&R on WBCN over Hill on WAAF, and T&R on WBZ-FM over Hill on WEEI-FM). When Hill was on WAAF and T&R were on WBZ-FM, Hill won out only because the format allowed for more frequent general entertainment.
