It would be good to have an Adult Album Alternative station in Buffalo (on an FM main channel, not an HD channel, and not imported from Philadelphia) playing newer music that serves 18-49 year olds who’d like to hear more than D’yer Ma’ker and Free Bird. Nothing wrong with those chestnuts, to be sure, but there’s already one station that does a fine job playing them. Speaking of old chestnuts, listeners over the age of 50 (and there are plenty of 'em in these here parts) probably wouldn’t mind hearing Marvin Gaye, Byrds and Beatles again. Some advertisers wouldn't mind spending their budgets on stations that reach listeners that are sure shots and can pay their bills on time.
Think the Lake will consider making a format change in 2008? It was a noble attempt for the last three years and I won’t knock it, but does it make sense for Entercom to continue doing a format that doesn’t make it into the top ten Persons 25-54 or top five Men 25-54?
