Lamar Trammell

Mr. Trammell, passed away yesterday, one of our Wiregrass radio pioneers and legend (WDIG). Never met a stranger, always willing to extend a hand to help others. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Visitation @ Holman Chapel/Headland tomorrow, Thursday, December 2 @ 10am, service to follow
@ 11am

Additional service Friday 4pm Eastern @ Iron City Baptist Church with graveside to follow (near Donaldsonville, GA)

His was the first voice I ever heard on the radio as a child (age 4 or 5). He hired me for my first radio job at WDIG at age 16.
If we had a Wiregrass radio hall of fame, he would be the first inductee. His Orange Blossom Special theme and Early Bird nickname
are forever more emblazoned in my brain. He was a gracious and generous man who's smile was a mile wide. Thanks Lamar.
