im imrpressd on wazy new stuff, it sounds good, but get the new things at b. marcey taking mornings, whats next viiza in the lunch timne at the rocket?

Once upon a time, Schurz was a nice place to work.
Then, Hal Yuart left. And now with all the competing
stations and people under one roof. It has become a
back stabbing hornets nest.

I also have to give a thumbs up on Z's new sound. Ladies and gentlemen, that's how WAZY should have sounded all along. Let's just hope things don't revert back to the way they were about six months from now (it's happened before). Now Z and B are pretty comparable to one another from the likes of imaging.

As for Marci moving to mornings, hey, why not? Let the two female CHR jocks in Lafayette battle it out against one another. I always thought Marci was a pretty good jock and didn't quite get it when WAZY let her go a few years back, but the best of luck to her in her new slot. :)

Very impressed with WAZY's new sound.... and they finally updated the station logo!!! Looks like Baisden is making an impact. The jingles are unique, and sound great!! The music is also much better... more variety. Instead of playing only the current top 40 songs over and over, they are playing ALL the top CHR hits from at least the past 6 years. For example, the other day I heard Shawn Mullins-Lullaby. People enjoy hearing past (but not too distant) hits like that every now and then. Great programming move to seperate them from B!!!

I have to give Dan kudos for making a lot of small, yet very essential changes to the logo and imaging. After taking a look at the website, I noticed one thing...is there anyone doing evenings on Z anymore? That, to me, would seem like a very essential time slot to occupy for a CHR audience whether it was live, tracked, or off the bird. Besides that, it looks like Z maybe getting themselves back up to par.

I haven't had a chance to check out the new WAZY, but it sounds like they will be going head-to-head with The Mix over at WGLM.

With GLM's recent moderate success in some of the important "sellable" female demos, WAZY must be punch drunk up against B's music-intensive format and has decided to take a little from column "B" and a little from column "G" for more broad appeal and variety?

I'll have to put Z in my presets and give it a listen. Whether Stephanie's "giggly schoolgirl" delivery will sound good with music from more than 4 or 5 years ago when trying to attract adult listners and not just the kids who worship her on the bus every morning, remains to be seen.

Those who know Autistic and Art know that Baisden does NOTHING without Art's official Okee Dokee - including jingles and a new logo. Past PD's have tried to make changes as well, and have run into the buzzsaw known as Art Sr. and have been cut off at the knees.

It remains to be seen if Art really has become more hands off and is letting his PD's run their stations, or if Baisden will become another AMP casualty when the numbers hit in January.

new sound z is good changes for art sr. i think new basden guy is making good choices. i hear new nights are comin. on mcarthy the rumor is ivy from wcil is on way to wazy.

the changes to wazy seem to be getting a positive reaction, it's cool to read about good things on this board.

who's morning show sounds hotter... wazy or wxxb

How long have Marci and Tony been a team on the B, though? Give them a little time to mesh and get on the same page and I'm sure they'll be fine.

agrees here, but i like marci but toni is liner card reader.

I listened for a few songs today on WAZY.

Lots of energy with the jingles.

Heard a trainwreck of "Youuuuu and That Booty" into "Killing Me Softly" from the Fugees, but hard to judge based on a few minutes in the car.

It sounded like a high school student trainee on the air. Who's she? This was around 1pm or 1:30PM?
Yikes! Horrible!
Stephanie was doing the taped weather.

Today was actually our first day on. We've had a couple of Saturday trials, but today was the official day. Sure we had some minor bugs, but you're right. We'll mesh and be good to go in no time.

The new wazy sure sounds pretty good with there imaging I like it a lot new fresh sound and none of that mammerjammer that youll hear all the time on the B

ITs still good to get marci in the morning but I dont know if Ill actually listen to that clap trap singsongs stuff its the same as on wazy pretty much nice to see there doing some changes and work on wazy its looking up for there listners a bit at least

what is the stringstarter talking about any way "lame moves" marci has always been a B person its not like there stealing her away from a different station shes just a workhorse dj is what she is and koodoos to her for that its nice to see some one loving what they do and putting alot of effort in to it hopefully it pays off in a gold mine for her probably not where she is now but up on the ladder radio wise.

donkey.... Marci was an intern over at *Z* about 3 or 4 years ago. She was a co-host for the evening show with either Zack Tyler or Chris Cruise. Then, when her internship was up, she was suddenly heard on *B*. My guess is that during the internship she witnessed alot of the behind-the-scenes garbage that goes on at AMP and decided not to stay on board. Smart move.
