Lamont & Tonelli did their last show on KSAN/The Bone today

35 years. What so many of these cuts have in common across all of these stories is the age of the employees. They weren't fired for cause. The companies all blame budget cuts but they choose to cut the older employees. Age discrimination is alive and well at radio despite supposedly being a protected class.

Maybe they try country.

I can’t tell whether or not I’m joking.

Alternatively: a KFOG revival.

Honestly, I disliked the Cumulus era KFOG to a degree where their attempting to revive it would likely just be an embarrassment. When they tried Triple A in Dallas and Houston, it was very bland.

Where and when did they try AAA in Houston? All Cumulus has there is KRBE. I think KRBE will go AAA the day the San Jacinto Monument falls down.

Maybe they are going to KNBR?

Or maybe to 102.7 KIIS-FM, replacing Ryan Seacrest, who should focus on his 72,000 other duties :)

103.7 KHJK in the Houston market before they sold it to EMF.
Thanks but it's a Beaumont rimshot whose theoretical coverage doesn't make it to Bellaire. So it would have been handicapped from the get-go.
