Land of the Giants

Anyone else remember this tv show? I think it aired for maybe one season in 1969. I must've been about 4 - 5 years old at the time. It was about a routine shuttle flight that somehow ended up on an earth-like planet...except all the people were something like 40 feet tall.

Yes,I certainly do remember Land Of The Giants. Sci-Fi Network showed reruns of the show from around 1997 to 2003 and USA showed reruns of the show during the late 80's along with reruns of Lost In Space and also local stations showed reruns of the show mostly on weekends before that. I also remember that when Sci-Fi showed reruns at times they alternated with The Time Tunnel, meaning that when they ended the reruns of The Time Tunnel, they started back with Land Of The Giants, and vice versa.

Actually,Land Of The Giants lasted 2 seasons on ABC on Sunday nights from 1968 to 1970.

...for all intents and purposes, it was a retread of "Lost in Space," from the same producer, Irwin Allen. I always preferred "Land of the Giants" because Kurt Kaznar made a much more likable screwball than Jonathan Harris did...

I wondered why Irwin Allen always credited Kurt Kazsner as a "guest star" on the show when actually he was a regular on the show in fact appearing on every episode. He did the same thing with Jonathan Harris in Lost In Space where he was credited as a guest star but was in fact a regular. None of the other Irwin Allen shows(Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea and The Time Tunnel) did that.

Because those actors did not have contracts per say. they were on a per episode basis. this was I think done by thier agents to persue other more profitable projects if they came along without contract dispute.
