lander is officially out

John Lander is one of the best morning guys I was a huge fan many years ago on his morning show “John Lander and the Q morning Zoo” on KKBQ in Houston. I moved to Boston about 10 years ago and was so happy to hear him on the air… I guess I will have to move when I find out his next stop

Hopefully, Lander's next station streams over the Internet, and you can save on all those high moving costs...

Most don't remember that John Lander was the last person to successfully program an AM Top 40! 790 KKBQ was it, before 93Q was launched. My hat's off to John for that feat!!

Although 790 and 93 FM in Houston simulcasted the same format for most of the 80's...

However, the AM was alone as a CHR for at least one book.

And don't forget that American Radio Systems snatched him from Z-100 in NYC as well. 8)

I hope mr lander lands on his feet, i grew up listening to him in the afternoon and then the morning at WLOF in orlando florida in the early to mid 1970s.

He was so entertaining that he inspired me to get into the business myself.
