Langer's 650, 1240, 1410 off air

Driving around Nahant, Lynn, Salem (by day) yesterday I noticed:

--on 1240 what sounded like oldies--maybe a station in Franklin NH

Could have also been WOON Woonsocket, RI. More of a community service/variety station, but plays oldies at many times when no local talk or other types of shows are on. It comes in, faintly, in the greater Boston suburbs, away from the buildings and RF interference in the city.

650 AM WSRO is back on the air today, playing jazz music. Good day signal here in Somerville. Alex Langer has always played jazz on his stations when he hasn't had any other programming on (brokered, or whatever). I'm not close enough to hear whether the FM translator is on.

1410 AM WZBR is not back on. Can't tell from here whether 1240 AM WBAS on the Cape is back on.

Can anyone confirm the story I was told many years ago that Alex Langer was the inventor of the Pocket Fisherman or some other type of fishing lure? I was told that he used the proceeds from his invention to start buying AM stations.

In addition to 650, 1410 is now back on simulcasting the recorded jazz music. I also saw a post that his 1240 on the Cape is back on, I don't receive that here.

The FM translator for 1410 on 98.1 in Medford is not back on. I'm not close enough to the other two translators to hear whether they're back on.

As I mentioned on FB in reply to Eli, here in Beverly I can pick up 650 and 1410--the latter was mixing with WPOP Hartford. I could barely hear something on 1240 but WESX 1230 Nahant was splashing over.
I believe WSRO has an FM translator at
102.1 in Framingham
