Laporte TechGuy reportedly leaving KFI

KFI's latest "Techguy" is saying he's "probably" leaving KFI at the end of the month.

Claims the pay and ratings are fine and the parties like each other just dandy; he just wants his weekends back to make room for turning out yet more podcasts and other non-paying stuff. Wish I could quit my job and go play like that.

Send in your demos. Never know what CC will hire these days.

Wow that's too bad. Besides knowing his stuff LL has a smooth delivery and nice voice. Much more user friendly than the guy he replaced Jeff Levy. We'll miss you Leo...

hey that's too bad, leo is a great radio personality. to be honest, i've only heard his shows via his podcasts, but if he were on local radio i would tune in every show.

how much do you think leo made for his weekend show? and it's funny that he's quitting to have more time for podcasts, i guess he makes a decent living pumping out his dozen shows. i'll miss 'KFI tech guy'.

i just got word from some computer geeks that leo was lured back to into the fold with a syndication deal. can anyone confirm this?

Leo is not only a good talker and good guy, but he's very smart as well. When leaving KFI to do a national show, one better make sure the deal is a good one, because Leo's six hours on KFI cumes more than a number of weekend shows, even a few pretty decent ones.

On Net@Nite Episode 6, he basically said his contract is up in a little over a month, and it's either syndication or bust.

hopefully he stays love his shows on kfi and podcasts good luck leo
